Gambling Awareness Program Director

Shauna Altrogge started out with a career in the gambling industry that offered a glimpse of some of the challenges people face with gambling. The experience spawned a keen interest to work in the area of prevention education, a better fit with her background in Sociology. As Director at GAP, she is proud of her team and has seen considerable development in working with youth in particular – a passion of hers. During her 25 years at CMHA, she has developed a greater understanding of the connection between process addictions such as gambling and mental health. Her down time in the summer is often spent travelling around in her ‘ silver bullet’ Airstream, checking out the amazing Canadian landscapes.

GAP Northern Coordinator

Kathy Moorman has lived in Saskatchewan all of her life. She attended Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Arts & Sciences; Technology (SIAST), now Saskatchewan Polytechnic, where she received a diploma from the Addiction Counselling Program. She has worked in the addictions field for over 23 years which includes the past six years working with the Gambling Awareness Program, as the Northern Coordinator. Kathy loves northern Saskatchewan, so it is a great fit. Her grandchildren are her pride and joy, and next year, she and her husband will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. Kathy loves to curl and also coaches kid’s curling. Kathy is a big Toronto Blue Jays fan, with #11 Bichette, being her favourite player!

Sabrina Lybek

GAP Southern Coordinator

With a background in psychology, Sabrina’s focus has always been on people and mental health. Sabrina spends a great deal of her time doing outreach in the southeast region of Saskatchewan touching on the topics of gambling, gaming, social media, and mental health. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on the road travelling to places near and far; always looking for a good place to go on a hike. Sabrina’s favourite thing to do is play almost any sort of game. This includes video games, board games, and cards with her favourite being cribbage.

GAP Central Coordinator

Laura grew up in Saskatchewan on a farm near Wynyard. After much travelling in her twenties, Laura settled back in Saskatoon and loves living in the River City with her young daughter. In recent years, Laura returned to the University of Regina to earn her Social Work Degree. These studies led to a strong passion for advocating and promoting awareness from a non-judgmental and holistic perspective. With this in mind, Laura found a great fit with GAP and is enjoying having lively discussions with everyone from young children to seasoned professionals about behavioural addictions, mental health, and the challenges of technology.

GAP Communications Coordinator

As a Communications Coordinator for the Gambling Awareness Program, Teanna specialises in managing GAP’s social media presence, creating impactful presentation materials, and handling various media and communication tasks. With a strong background in graphic design, she brings a keen eye for visual storytelling to our campaigns. Also a talented illustrator and artist, Teanna ensures our messaging is both engaging and visually appealing. Her role is dedicated to promoting responsible gambling and educating the public through creative and effective communication strategies.
